      Sicily is rich in grapes, vineyards are everywhere, but most of the wine is unknown. At the end of the 1960s, Lucio's father, Count Jubupe, set out to improve grape varieties and fermentation techniques to make "good wine". Under the leadership of Lucio and his 31-year-old son, the estate produces 2.4 million bottles a year, a third of which are exported. In 1991, his "Gardenne" wine was voted the "Best White Wine in Italy".

      Vineyards in Sicily are found in four main producing regions: Palermo, Monreale, Avellino and Ficuzza. Each region has its own unique geographical features and climatic conditions, which allow each region to produce wines with its own characteristics.


      Palermo is the capital of Sicily, and the vineyards here are known for their varied terrain and diverse climatic conditions. In the vineyards of Palermo, Nero grape varieties are grown. Avola, Frappato, Corinto Nero and Pignatello.


      Monreale is located in the northern part of Sicily, where the vineyards are known for producing excellent red wines. The grape varieties of Monreale include Nero. Avola, Frappato and Corinto Nero.


      Avadora and Forli are two relatively small regions, but they have unique grape varieties and excellent wines. The Avadola grape varieties are Inzolia, Catarratto and Grillo, while the Foley grape varieties are dominated by Inzolia and Catarratto.
